The silence of the water.

(English text after Norwegian)

River in Norway Norwegians lake yoga meditasjon meditation in Norway Norwegian blogger the silence of the water

This is one of my favorite places near where I live as you see in the picture.

The silence of the water…

The sound of silence.

The sound of birds chirping.

If I listen carefully, I hear the big birds spreading their beautiful wings out and flying over the water to the next stop.

I can hear the water trickle and make its own «chuckle» sound.

The water is a sign of renewal.

A renewal that gives me courage and inspiration.

I see water drops in the watercourse.

They are different, like you and me, but are connected to the universe of the sea.

The water is so shiny full of life, glistening and glittering into eternity.

Suddenly I am caught by the waterfall’s eternal drone, where the powerful strength of the water hits the small tar’s surface.

The rings in the water where the landscape’s face has emerged are wiped out of the forest’s gust of wind.

I look up at the birch trees where a bird sits so proud and beautiful. I greet him «good day».

I know the sun is warming and I grab myself that soon, only soon can I run barefoot in grass and moss, forest and marsh.

Jump over the spring basin that winds its way into the forest’s adventures, and I, sing aloud to myself.

For water is one of the most beatyful things I know, it has it’s own silence.

  1. Beautifully penned. Your words are sheer prose-poetry with gorgeous nature imagery. I could feel everything: the silent shiny water with its magically soothing power and circles, the chirping birds… nature’s breath on the human soul.

      1. I am impressed by the translations. You are a great team! And you are the one who says your English is not very good? That is definitely not true. I haven’t met any Norwegian who does not speak excellent English. In my country, Catalonia, only very few people have a decent level of English. I am an exception and not to speak about Spain in general. Monolingualism is not a good thing because I strongly believe it narrows the understanding of different world cultures.

      2. I didn’t clear myself without them, and since I don’t have such good self-esteem and believe in myself, it shines through to complain and talk bad to myself. It is time to end it maybe, something I work with, but not easy after hearing how inept I am for many years …
Suddenly I realized that Catalonia is a place I can’t anything about, and I felt that sad.
Thank you for your wise words❤️
You are so sweet and lovely🦋

      3. I know that problem with low self-esteem. I have that too. Yes, we need to work on that. Our blogs are excellent therapy I guess. You too, dear butterfly lady, are sweet and beautiful! ❤️ 🦋
